Reconstructed childhood home of Shivaji Maharaj.
The story
The original Lal Mahal was built in 1630 for the young Shivaji and his mother Jijabai. The present red-brick structure is a 20th-century reconstruction with murals depicting the famous encounter with Shaista Khan.
